A connection that is slow is probably better than no connection at all; however, from the point of view of accessing internet services or resources, internet connections that are fast and always on are essential if today’s businesses are to meet customer expectations and be able to react to a rapidly changing business environment. Our core connectivity services feature the following protocols:
- Business class DSL (ADSL2+, FTTC)
- Ethernet First Mile (EFM)
- Ethernet
- MPLS
Business class DSL
Provides the familiar residential broadband speeds but with the reliability and consistency all businesses demand. Download 80Mb and upload of 20Mb speeds are available. Fibre Broadband service options provide the levels of service required to support VoIP and video conferencing or other high bandwidth services.
Ethernet First Mile
EFM provides a cost effective solution for providing the levels of connectivity required to deliver voice and data services to businesses that find full fibre Ethernet too costly. EFM is faster than broadband, SDSL, leased line and low end Ethernet. EFM usually provides copper pair Ethernet to the exchange where it connects to the main network.
EFM bridges the gap between traditional broadband and Ethernet over copper to provide business grade services for VoIP and cloud services. Available as 10 or 20 mbps the service offers identical upload and download speeds where business services are prioritised over residential services.
Ethernet
Ethernet provides the highest levels of connectivity required for larger businesses or smaller and mid-sized businesses where there is a requirement for connectivity bandwidth up to 1Gbps.
Synchronous upload and download speeds power high speed access to VoIP and data services which enables businesses to move large amounts of data to and from the cloud or to other internet connected locations quickly and seamlessly.
MPLS
Provides the reliable bandwidth and guaranteed services for multi-site businesses to connect head office with branch offices or retail outlets using EPOS, Chip & PIN and stock control and management systems such as ERP.
The MPLS IVPN provides a WAN solution that joins up businesses that operate over a widely distributed geography with secure, consolidated voice, video and data services.
